My Buff Orppington chicken “Hazel” flew the coop yesterday we have no idea where she went. We asked our neighbors to look in their back yards. We drove around our neighborhood looking for her. We are in a suburban neighborhood but we back to the woods so we thought maybe she went in the woods. Now we are trying to figure out if they have an alternative nest they use if the nesting boxes are full. We are going out to the yard to search today. I was so sad, she is my best layer and she has the most amazing disposition. We are going to trim her feathers back today and we are going to work on containing the chickens in a better fashion so we won’t have one fly the coop again!
