In Observance of Veterans Day

In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.

-Mark Twain

First of all I would like to thank all of the Veterans who have served our country in the past and currently serving our country now.  Homesteaders are people who in particular do not take their freedom for granted we are all too aware of how quickly that freedom can be taken away from us.  Please take the time on this special day to acknowledge and share your gratitude to Veterans you know today.

My Step Dad was retired military, my Dad and brother both served in different capacities in the military although they were not career military.  Also my cousin’s husband and my Step brother are both currently serving our country now but I am thankful to all those who have served because whether you are in the reserves or full-time you never know when you will be called but they are ready; ready to fight for our freedom.

So my Gratitude No. 8 for November is that I am thankful to all those veterans past and present and their families who have sacrificed so much.  Thank a veteran today!

My prayers are with all those who are currently serving and whose families who fear for them while they are away.

Thanks for stopping by….

my siggie :)

I Love Hearing From All Of You! Thanks for sharing!
